Kyle MacDonald

Kyle MacDonald is Vice President of Cloud and Enterprise Business at Canonical. He is responsible for strategy and execution of the Ubuntu Cloud & Server business. Mr. MacDonald also sits on the OpenStack Foundation board of Directors. Mr. MacDonald served as Chief Evangelist and VP of Corporate Development at Cloud.com. Inc. until their merger with Citrix Systems. He also served as Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy at Hosting.com  (a division of Wachovia Capital Partners). Prior to this position, he held executive leadership positions at Sun Microsystems including leading the Web 2.0, Internet and Next Generation Service Provider Sector until Sun Microsystems was acquired by Oracle in 2009. He served as Corporate Technologist for Software and Strategic Technology at AMD where he lead and executed the development of AMD's next generation software strategy and key strategic alliances with companies such as IBM, BEA Adobe, EMC and Symantec. Prior to AMD he held key engineering and executive roles within TopSpin Communications (acquired by Cisco in 2004) and Flare Networks (acquired by Microsoft in 2001).
